Consignment

Bring your piece to a quietly serious audience.

Silkworks accepts third-party consignments for vintage decor, sculpture, jewelry, ritual objects and collectible curios. We photograph, list and sell the piece on your behalf — you keep two-thirds of the net sale, we retain a flat 33.33% commission.

01

Submit

Fill the form below with photographs, condition notes and a reserve price. There is no fee to submit and no obligation to list.

02

Review

Our team reviews submissions twice a week. We may ask for additional photographs or provenance, or politely decline if the piece isn't a fit for our shelves.

03

List & sell

Accepted pieces are photographed, listed alongside our own inventory and sold under the Silkworks editorial standard. You can withdraw at any time before sale.

04

Settle

Once the buyer's payment clears, we deduct our 33.33% net commission and pay the balance to you within 30 days by bank transfer.

Submit a piece for review

Three to six clear photographs, a short description and a reserve price are usually enough for us to make a first call. Submissions are confidential.

By submitting, you confirm you are the rightful owner of the piece and have read our seller terms. Submission is not a binding offer of consignment until Silkworks confirms acceptance in writing.

Frequently asked

What does Silkworks accept?

Vintage and antique decorative arts — sculpture, brassware, jewelry, ritual objects, lighting, framed pieces, vinyl, curios. We're particular about quality and provenance over name recognition. We do not accept reproductions, mass-produced contemporary decor, or pieces that infringe on protected cultural heritage law.

How is the 33.33% commission calculated?

It is one-third (rounded to two decimals) of the net sale price — what the buyer pays minus payment-gateway fees and applicable taxes (GST). Silkworks absorbs photography, listing and storage costs from its share. There is no listing fee or upfront cost to you.

How long does Silkworks hold the piece?

The standard consignment term is 180 days. If the piece hasn't sold by then we'll discuss a price revision, an extension, or returning it to you at our expense (within India) or your expense (international).

Can I withdraw a piece after it's listed?

Yes — with 14 days written notice and provided no buyer has placed an order. If a piece is withdrawn after photography but before listing, a flat photography fee of ₹1,500 applies.

Who is responsible if a piece is damaged in our care?

Silkworks insures every piece in our care from the moment it is received at our Mumbai atelier through to delivery to the buyer. Insurance covers fair market value. See seller terms for the full clause.

How am I paid?

By bank transfer to an Indian bank account, or by international wire for non-resident sellers (wire fees borne by the seller). Payment is made within 30 days of the buyer's payment clearing.
