Silkworks (trading as Karachi Engineering Co.) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

- Payment data: processed by PayU (PayU Payments Pvt. Ltd.) — Silkworks does not store full card numbers, CVV, or bank credentials.
- Communication: messages you send via our contact form or email.
- Site analytics: aggregated, non-identifying traffic data via Netlify Analytics.
How we use it
- To process and ship your order, and provide customer service.
- To send transactional email (order confirmation, shipping updates).
- To respond to your enquiries.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not send marketing email unless you have explicitly opted in.
Who we share with
- PayU — to process payments and detect fraud.
- Couriers (DHL, FedEx, India Post and similar) — to deliver your order.
- Netlify — our hosting provider.
- Tax and legal authorities where required by law.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies and localStorage to remember your shopping bag and basic site preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.
Data retention
Order records are retained for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law (presently 8 years). You may request deletion of contact-form messages and marketing data at any time.
Your rights
You may write to hello@silkworksindia.com to access, correct or request deletion of your personal data. We will respond within 30 days.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Payment data is handled by PayU under PCI-DSS Level 1 controls. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard the personal data we hold.
